Worship and Music
WORSHIP is the action of God. The pattern for Holy
Communion in Evangelical Lutheran Worship describes what God is doing in
worship in four sentences:
-
The Holy Spirit calls us together as the people of God.
-
God speaks to us in scripture reading, preaching and song.
-
God feeds us with the presence of Jesus Christ.
-
God blesses and sends us in mission to the world.

congregations)
MUSIC: The scriptures are filled with instruction to
sing praise to God. Music is a very big part of our worship services. Trinity
is blessed with many talented musicians.
Our beautiful pipe organ, which was rebuilt and dedicated in 2007, is used
extensively to enhance our worship services.
Our Organist and director of the Handbell Choir is Marcia Yernberg. As an
experienced church musician, Marcia has served as an organist, pianist, and
handbell director in churches in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Colorado. Marcia is
committed to her role as “leader of the peoples’ song” because, as she says,
“Music touches our souls as words alone cannot, and we indeed SING OUR FAITH at
every Worship Service.”
Marcia is the staff accompanist at Fort Collins High School and has taught
piano for 30 years. She is a member of the Association of Lutheran Church
Musicians, the American Guild of Organists, and the American Guild of English
Handbell Ringers.
The Praise Band, led by Greg Schairer, leads our Saturday Night service.
Joining Greg are, David McArthur, Mira Mintcheva, Joshua Schairer, and Zachary
Schairer.
