Text Box: Peace from our Lord Jesus Christ to each of you. It is in times of our grief and mourning that we truly need God’s love and each other. The family of Trinity has suffered an unbelievable shock at the sudden death of Pastor Jim, but God’s grace has surrounded us individually and as a community, bringing us into each other’s arms and on each other’s shoulders for comfort and strength. Praise be to God! We have each other to hold us up and God’s presence to sustain us. Pastor Jim taught us, so well, the value of the stories and their importance in both grieving and healing. SHARE THE STORIES with each other at every opportunity. Talk to each other and laugh and cry together. Take advantage of the scrapbook pages that are available and write your stories for each other and ultimately for Terry and her family. Feel free to stop by the office and check out a page to take home and write at your leisure. We want to complete the scrapbook by the end of November. Be alert and watch for God’s surprises! We are at our most vulnerable these days, but that means we are also most available and open to the Spirit filling us up! Stay aware and watch for the “God Sightings” in your life. We’ve included the sermons from both the Healing Service and the Resurrection Celebration in this issue of Tidings. It seemed that having them in print might be helpful for all of us. May the peace of God fill your hearts, Marilyn Hartig, Congregational President UPDATE: The Church Council met Tuesday, Oct. 27 and approved Bishop Allan Bjornberg’s recommendation that Pastor Paul Schairer serve Trinity as interim pastor. With Pastor Paul’s tremendous experience and God’s loving grace, we are well positioned to continue with the sharing and grieving and then in due time move into the Call process.
