Text Box: Who: Samantha J. Staggs

What: A fundraiser recital to help sponsor my trip to Italy. I have already raised $1,000, but the cost is about $6,000 including food, travel, tuition and living expenses for the month long program. Any donation is helpful, even $5 or $10 and no admission will be charged to the concert. All donations are 100% tax deductible.

When: Sunday May 4th at 1:30 pm

Where: Trinity Lutheran Church 301 E. Stuart Street, Fort Collins, Colorado 80525

The International Institute of Vocal Arts was founded in 1990 and has provided training for over 500 young artists. I am very excited for this opportunity as the program is tailored to the individual needs of each student. The program places a high level of importance not only on singing Italian Opera but on the Italian language itself. All participants attend Italian language classes each day, and are hosted in the homes of local families or in local hotels. I will be immersed in the culture of their small Italian town, and by design and necessity, communicate in Italian.

This will be a month long program consisting of concerts, operatic scenes and public master classes at Chiari’s spectacular Villa Mazzotti. The performances are well-attended by the citizens of Chiari as well as music lovers from nearby Milan and Verona. The large, appreciative crowds provide a supportive public for me as a young artist.

I hope that you will consider helping me in my pursuit to gain an invaluable musical experience at the Chiari, Italy study program. I greatly appreciate your assistance in any capacity. In order to attend the program in Italy, I will need to raise $6,000.00. My tuition cost will be $4,200.00, airfare about $1,100.00, and 4 weeks living expenses about $800.00. IIVA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit institution, and any donations made to IIVA’s scholarship fund are 100% tax-deductible.

Dear Pastor Jim, Wally Jacobson and Trinity Staff and Congregation,
Please accept this heartfelt thank you for Trinity Lutheran Church’s involvement with Lutheran
Family Services. The Child Abuse Prevention Benefit on Saturday, April 12, was a great success thanks larely to you and our other valued event sponsors!

After tabulating results of the silent auction and contributions, the CAP benefit raised a net value of nearly $20,000 for the adoption, foster care, family education and refugee resettlement programs of northern Colorado.

I hope you enjoyed the evening and sincerely hope you will partner with us again next year to
continue making a difference in the lives of Children and families across the front range.

Sincerely,
Kimberly Rais, Special Events and Community Relations Coordinator
