Text Box: What are you doing July 26 – August 2nd??

Have you been hearing about how much fun the summer trip is going to be and been jealous? Well, there is no reason for you to be jealous: SPOTS ARE STILL AVAILABLE! Currently, there are seven Trinity members going to Wilderness Canoe Base. Our goal is to have a total of sixteen, enough to fill two full canoe trips (which go out in groups of eight). If I have peeked your interest, here is some more information about the trip:

§	We will be going with youth from two other churches: Zion Lutheran and King of Glory in Loveland. Prior to the trip, we will be doing several day events in order to get to know one another and practice our canoeing abilities.
§	We will leave early on the 26th, flying into the Twin Cities. There we will rent vans and drive the
	remaining six hours to Wilderness.
§	The first two days will be spent onsite, helping with reconstruction projects after a fire last May burnt 60% of their property. While onsite, we will also worship and do team building activities.
§	We will then go on a three-night, four-day canoe trip in the Boundary Waters Wilderness. For the
canoe portion of the trip, we will break up into groups of eight, in accordance with wilderness
	regulations.
§	Upon our return, we will drive back to the twin cities, spend then night at a church in the Twin Cities, and return on August 2nd. Depending on which flight we can get, there may be time for a stop at Mall of
	America.

Interested? Please contact Andy or Erin, we are happy to answer any questions that you may have. If you
decide you want to go, all we need from you is a completed information page and a $150 deposit—and as our next fundraisers come around, a helping hand. Since we have so many extra spots, FEEL FREE TO INVITE YOUR FELLOW HIGH SCHOOL FRIENDS. All our welcome!

“WAY OF THE CROSS”
The ninth annual 'Way of the Cross' pilgrimage is an ecumenical and bilingual walk throughout downtown Fort Collins on Good Friday, March 21, 2008. It is sponsored by St. Joseph, Holy Family, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, and Blessed John XXIII Catholic Parishes, Fort Collins Mennonite Fellowship, St. Andrew's, St. Luke's, and St. Paul's Episcopal Parishes, Catholic Charities northern, Abyssinian Christian Church, Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, and Christ United Methodist Church.

This inspirational journey will include stations/sites in the downtown community that represent 15 social justice concerns. Meet at Holy Family Church, 326 North Whitcomb at noon, and come prepared with water and adequate clothing to walk for 2 and 1/2 hours, culminating at St. Joseph school about 3:00 p.m. Transportation will be available between stations for those with special needs. For more information, contact Ida Girouard, 484-5010. In case of inclement weather the day of the walk, contact Ida Girouard at 217-1922.

Thank you very much, and we hope you will be able to attend.

Lutheran Campus Ministry and The Geller Center for Spiritual Development are taking CSU students to Mexico for a “Border Immersion Project” over spring break on March 15-22. . We will travel to Douglas, AZ and then cross the border and go to Agua Prieta, Mexico.
We will be studying the issue of immigration. In addition, the group will be helping out at a homeless shelter. This trip is a way to learn about an important topic in our world today and help others at the same time. This trip is not one of those “fun in the sun” spring breaks and we are excited that students are eager to go and learn. This adventure will focus on immigration and how to respond as a person of faith.

To help raise funds for this trip we are having a fundraising dinner on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at
Trinity Lutheran Church from 5:30-7:30 in the Fellowship Hall. Please come to eat and help support the CSU students going on this trip. Tickets are $10 for community members and $5 for students.

Blessings, Pastor Connie Winter-Eulberg, Lutheran Campus Ministry at CSU
