The true spirit of giving was once again demonstrated by your generous support of the Alternative Christmas Fair! The fourteen organizations represented at the fair received over $6,700. Thank you! Karel Waltermire, Outreach Ministry Christmas Season Ministry Thanks! Our December 2, 2007 Alternative Giving Christmas Fair was once again a very successful event raising over $6,700 for 14 different organizations. This fair has been organized and supervised by Karel Waltermire. Thanks to her hard work and passion for this ministry, we have made a difference for those seeking a better way of life. We were also blessed to have sent 44 shoeboxes to children overseas through our participation in Operation Christmas Child. Susan Lamb led this effort and did a great job of getting out the word for this ministry. God bless Karel and Susan for all you have done to help us in making this a very meaningful part of our outreach at Christmas! Sincerely, The Outreach Ministry Team Results of November World Hunger/Homelessness Offerings During November of 2007 Trinity paid special attention to the needs of the poor, hungry and homeless through education and worship. Thanks to the coordination efforts of Esther Johnson and Jack Hautaluoma, we learned more about how we can respond through representatives from Bread for the World, Homelessness Prevention Initiative and ELCA World Hunger. Trinity offerings in support of those organizations totaled: $815, $305 and $2,834, respectively. Thanks to all who have given to ease the pain of those in need! ATTENTION: SUB-CONTRACTORS & BUILDING MATERIALS SUPPLIERS We are going to do it again! Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is going to sponsor our second House Build with Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity. We are planning to break ground in February of 2008. Besides the hearty, hardworking volunteers and the great cooks who bring lunch we are looking for SUB-CONTRACTORS (electricians, plumbers, mechanical, etc) and BUILDING MATERIAL SUPPLIERS (concrete, lumber, siding, roofing, plumbing and electrical fixtures, paint, landscape, etc.) to be part of our team. We are seeking subs who can volunteer their services and vendors that will donate or deeply discount the needed building materials. If this is you or someone you know please contact Habitat’s Project Manager, Bob Hand Bob can give you the details of what materials we will need. Please join us to make this a win-win project for 2008.
