I was so pleased to see that members of Trinity generously contributed $325 for Irish School at the Alternative Giving Fair ~ then Deb Schwartz informed me that you had given $310 for the family from Irish who needed help with their fathers medical expenses! Porcupines – Faith Focus The Porcupines small group ministry will be coming out of hibernation in January. You are invited to join this expanding ministry. There will be two opportunities to join this exciting experience in Christian living. Sunday mornings 11:30 – 12:20 on Jan. 13, 27, Feb. 3, 10, 17, 24 or Monday nights 7:00 to 8:30 Jan. 14, 21, 28, Feb. 4, 11, 18. Once again, we will be growing with John Ortberg in his book titled “IF YOU WANT TO WALK ON WATER, YOU’VE GOT TO GET OUT OF THE BOAT”. In his engaging and humorous style, John Ortberg reflects on the biblical story in Matthew 14 and applies it to our lives today. He helps us to recognize what boat we’re in – the comfortable situation where we’re hiding. Ortberg writes ‘When human beings get out of the boat, they are never quite the same’. Face your fears and step over the gunwales – the Master of the sea is waiting for you. Ask anyone who has spent time with the Porcupines and they’ll tell you how great they found the experience.
