Gift Mission Statement:  Our mission is to develop strategies and initiate programs which seek a better understanding of the Gospel and to nourish the growth in Christian faith of all throughout the congregation.  Gift encompasses programs from nursery to adult education and includes Sunday School and Confirmation.

Sunday, February 7 - Annual Congregation Meeting, Meal, and Auction, after 10:00 service.  We hope for a great turnout.

 

Sunday, February 21 - “Five Major Crises Experienced by Ancient Israel During Her History”

a 5-week series by Frank Benz - 11:15 am. – Fireside Room

 

Saturday, February 6, 8:30 am -  12:30 pm, Lectio Divina, Julie Saad of Denver Contemplative Outreach; St Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1208 W Elizabeth Street; will present on Lectio Divina to further the contemplative life.

Cost: Pre-registration: $25* if register by Feb. 2; $30 at door.

 

Saturdays, February 20 and 27 - Introduction to Centering Prayer. Blessed John XXIII, 1220 University Ave. Fort Collins. You will learn about Prayer as Relationship, Method of Centering Prayer, Thoughts during Prayer, and Deepening Contemplation. You will experience 4 periods of Centering Prayer.  Cost: 2 sessions, $20* Please register by Feb 15. Look for more information on page 5.

Small Group Ministry - Porcupines

Monday Morning Book Club - first Monday of each month - 9:30 am. - Library

 

Opportunities to participate – a Trinity representative to Thrivent is needed.  Talk to Marilyn Morrissey if you could help.  Could you be a confirmation mentor?  Talk to Andy or Erin.  Food!! Porcupine Small Groups are back!

 

Beginning, February 17

(Ash Wednesday) following the evening service we will launch two Porcupine Small Group studies.  Both will be held each Wednesday evening throughout the Lenten season.  (Feb 17, 24, March 3,10,17 & 24) One group will be built around the book, “The Shack”  and the other group will work with “One Anothering”.   Both books were used last Fall and received a warm reception.  Mark your calendar and stay tuned for more details.  See Pastor Paul or Marilyn Hartig if you have questions or if you have an interest in helping with leadership.
