Blood Donation Questions
Please go through the list of questions below to help with the blood donation process. If there are any questions you can answer yes to please contact Garth Englund Blood Center at (970) 495-8965.
1. Do you weigh less than 120lbs?
2. Are you 16 years old or younger?
3. Do you feel poorly today or different than you normally feel?
4. Are you taking anything for an infection?
5. In the past 30 days have you taken Proscar, Propecia, or Accutane
6. In the past 7 days have you taken Coumadin or Warfarin?
7. In the past year have you received a tattoo or piercing or permanent makeup? (Please speak with a team member at Garth Englund and we can tell you if you are still eligible to donate. We have letters from many local tattoo and piercing artists that state they use sterile practices and then you can donate immediately. Otherwise you have to wait one year past when you had your tattoo/piercing done to donate.)
8. Have you ever been diagnosed with leukemia or lymphoma?
9. Currently are you being treated for Cancer?
10. Have you traveled outside of the US or Canada in the past year? (Most areas of travel will still allow you to donate. It is only if you have been to an area that is considered to be a malaria risk that you have to wait a full year before you donate again. Please ask any Garth Englund Staff member and we can let you know!)
