Preschool Corner

Text Box: Dear Trinity, It has been a BUSY spring down the hall in the TLC Preschool classroom! We are literally busting out all over, as our little "buds" continue to bloom and grow! We are now officially at 15 students in our MWF class - a full house! The children enjoyed an Easter egg hunt a bit early, since spring break included Easter Sunday. They also grew pots of Easter grass to use as decorations for their homes. It sounds like some of it is ready to be mowed! The children were also quite enthralled with the entire Easter story. It became more tangible for them when I used Resurrection Eggs as an additional teaching tool. For those of you not familiar, Resurrection Eggs are 1 dozen plastic eggs filled with small tokens (e.g., a silver coin representing the money paid to Judas, a nail, a small piece of white linen cloth) to remind us of the Easter story. Those small hands and eyes are always fascinated with these eggs. Our music program began just before spring break, and the children are having a wonderful time with Miss Renee. She has some nice techniques for engaging young children and has good activities for working both large and small muscle groups to music! April will continue to be busy and will also include parent-teacher conferences. As the weather warms, you may see us outside a lot because our energy level is HIGH!! Happy Spring to Everyone!
